A catch-all mailbox is one that captures all the emails sent to invalid addresses. For example, if your email address is info@domain.com, but someone misspells it and sends an email message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have set up. Only one mailbox per domain name can have this feature activated and in this way you’ll never miss messages because the other side has an out-of-date email address or has made a typo. The negative aspect of creating a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving a lot of junk messages, but this problem can be resolved by using an anti-spam protection solution. It’s also crucial to bear in mind that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all functionality cannot forward incoming emails to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

Setting up a catch-all mailbox will be really easy in case you have a hosting plan with us. You can activate the feature through our powerful, yet user-friendly Email Manager tool, which is an essential part of the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you will manage your web hosting account. You will find all the email addresses that you’ve set up shown alphabetically and next to each of them there will be a mini "Catch-all" icon, which will quickly reveal to you whether a specific mailbox gets all the emails pertaining to a certain domain or not. With one single mouse click on the icon you can activate or deactivate the feature at any moment. If there’s activated email forwarding or if a different mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a specific domain name, you will get a warning notification from our system. The latter will not replace/disable anything automatically and without your consent.
